Maki-e Tumbler / Plovers over Waves (Nami-chidori)

After the earthquake, we undertook this project with the intention of preserving the craft of maki-e artisans.
Coincidentally, we had the opportunity to exhibit it at a trade show in the United States, where it was well received, leading to its commercialization.
The glass used is a thin, high-quality glass from Kimura Glass.

Nami-chidori motif—plovers flying above stylized waves—symbolizing perseverance and harmony, as small birds bravely navigate great waters.

Please note that this item is not dishwasher safe, as it may cause the maki-e to peel or the glass to break.
