Round Plate / Seasonal Flowers and Grasses (Shiki Sōka)

In response to the earthquake, we entrusted the artisans with complete freedom in how they chose to express themselves.
Each work is a manifestation of their personal desire to create something meaningful in support of the recovery.
Seasonal flowers and plants are delicately depicted using traditional urushi-e (lacquer painting) techniques.

This round plate is adorned with motifs of flowers and grasses representing the four seasons, celebrating the beauty of nature's ever-changing rhythm.
